SFP Transceiver Module NIS-GE-SFP

Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver modules include fiber SFP modules and copper SFP modules. An SFP module is an input/output (I/O) device that supports hot swapping. When inserted into an Ethernet interface, the SFP module can connect the port to an optical network. An SFP module can be considered as a small Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC), which is why it is also called a mini-GBIC module.
